The Land Development Coordinator supports the successful planning and execution of large-scale land and infrastructure development projects from early-stage due diligence through construction readiness. This role works closely with project managers, engineering consultants, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to keep multiple development projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about infrastructure, civil engineering, and project coordination.
Project Coordination & Development Support
Support the Site Development Manager throughout all phases of land development, from site evaluation through construction readiness
Coordinate project activities across multiple concurrent developments while ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
Schedule meetings, track action items, and maintain clear communication with consultants and project stakeholders
Prepare project reports, presentations, and development documentation for internal teams and partners
Due Diligence & Site Research
Assist with due diligence activities, feasibility assessments, and land development research
Conduct research on zoning regulations, permitting requirements, utilities, environmental constraints, and infrastructure availability
Compile due diligence packages and organize supporting project documentation
Maintain accurate records of project data and development activities
Permitting & Consultant Coordination
Track permitting, entitlement, zoning, and approval processes across multiple jurisdictions
Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, utility companies, and government agencies to ensure timely project deliverables
Monitor consultant progress and proactively follow up on outstanding tasks and documentation
Support project teams in resolving permitting or development-related issues
Project Tracking & Risk Management
Maintain project schedules, budgets, trackers, and development dashboards
Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule delays, permitting risks, infrastructure constraints, or coordination issues
Escalate risks and recommend solutions to keep projects moving forward
Ensure project documentation remains organized, accurate, and up to date
Quality Assurance & Documentation
Maintain consistency and accuracy across project files, reports, trackers, and development records
Ensure documentation follows established project standards and processes
Support continuous improvement of project coordination workflows and documentation systems
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
1–3 years of experience in land development, civil engineering, infrastructure, project development, construction, renewable energy, utilities, or real estate development
Experience coordinating projects involving multiple consultants, contractors, or regulatory agencies
Understanding of land development processes, permitting, utility coordination, civil engineering, or infrastructure development
Experience using project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Familiarity with project scheduling, budget tracking, and documentation management
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or other engineering software is an advantage
Ability to conduct technical research and organize complex project information
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
Experience supporting renewable energy, utilities, substations, transmission, telecommunications, or industrial development projects
Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or site development projects
Experience supporting U.S. or international engineering and development projects
Familiarity with permitting, zoning, entitlement, and infrastructure planning processes
Experience working in remote project coordination environments with cross-functional teams
